Weekly Production Log 7
What have your contributed this week?
This week has started off with a pressure because our deadline of our music video was on Monday, what we did on Monday was that we uploaded the the footage that we re-filmed on the weekend on the final cut express. We then had to come back after school to complete the final edit of the music video. What we did is cut and added in the shoots of the music video and then we colour correct it and black and white.
How does this fit in with the production schedule/ job roles/ overall of project?
We have finally cached up and completed the edit. All of the crew was at the editing space . as the director, producer and the editor was there to finalized the edit and to have the music video on point. We can finally say that the overall project is complete and polished.
Where there any problems?
We have not experienced any problem this week in the production, everything is up to date and cleared, we had resolve all our problem last week.
What are your plans for the following week?
What we will do next week is upload the music video on YouTube and, this will mean that we have finished the production and distributed it , and we have fished the unit,.

Weekly Production Log 6
What have your contributed this week?

What we did this week was that our group edited the music video and we also re shoot some of the music video. We have completed about 95% of the music video edit it was hard to edit some of the footage as our director was ill but we over came it by texting him and speaking to him over the phone of what to add or take away what we did is finished the last verse in structure and also added in the filter and colour corrected the footage. We re shot on Saturday the 5% of scene that were left.
How does this fit in with the production schedule/ job roles/ overall of project?
we are behide in schedule bit we are overcoming it as we are filming on the weekend and added the shoots in on Monday because this is the deadline of the music video.
Where there any problems?
The problem we faced this week was one of our cast member were unable to come to film as she had no time free and no transport available due to the trains not working on the weekends.
How did your resolve them?
How we resolved this is that we asked a girl that look similar to her to be in our music video and she approved as this was a relief as this meant we could finish re shoot of the music video.
What are your plans for the following week?
What we are going to do in the following week is to add in the shoots that we recorded on the weekends and we will change the colour of the footage to match the music video. We will get it finally checked and rendered.

Weekly Production Log 5
What have your contributed this week?
What we did this week was a lot. As we edit up to 80 percent of the music video on Monday Tuesday Wednesday and friday. We also have seen and noted down some shoots that we need to re film. When we made a change we had to render the video with was such as pain as it took about 6min each time which cut into our editing time.
How does this fit in with the production schedule/ job roles/ overall of project?
We are be hide shedule as we are meant to be at 100% complete of the music video but in fact we are around 80%. As we had one day less of editing day which was to be the most productive day due to a school trip it shorten down the hour we have.
Where there any problems?
We saw in the edit that the shoots in Southend were to dark as the beach was not visable due to the time we got there.
We had a problem that all of the cast were unable to film on the weekend. This was because it was too short notice as this was the point they already had plans for the weekends.
How did your resolve them?
We were meant to film this weekend but cast wasn't available. To we will be filming next week on Saturday as this is when our cast is free to film. We will leave chadwell heath at 11am to catch most of the sun light.
What are your plans for the following week?
What our plans are for next is to complete the last 20 percent of editing on final cut express. We also want to refilming the scene that we did in Southend, as there are too dark and could t recognised the location. We were meant to film this weekend but it was to short notice for the actress so it will be done next Saturday.

Weekly Production Log 4
What have your contributed this week?
We have not exactly been relaxed this week is, as we have filmed at the beginning of the week in southend as it was a long day. WE got back to school and uploaded two memory cards of footage onto the mac, we stared to edit it on Tuesday in lessons and continued to edit on Wednesday , and this i came in on Thursday morning 1 and 2 to edit then later the other member came in and stared to edit , then in my study period on Friday 1 and 2 I edited the footage of the music video and straight period 3 and 4 on Friday was the last lesson of the week of editing the music video that when the other member came in to help with the edit.
How does this fit in with the production schedule/ job roles/ overall of project?
As to our schedule we are slightly be hide in the edit as we were suppose to be around 60% complete we are ruffly about 35%, as this is no problem as we will edit on after school on particular days when the crew is free to work. I have been engaged a lot with the edit of this music video as we could make a bad looking footage into good one, as they set our group and advantage.
Where there any problems?
We did experience some problems this week as one of our actress that was going to be in the music video dropped out and was unable to do it, as this meant that we could not film as we did not have the actress, as if we found a replacement it would be hard for them to get around the idea of how to act.
How did your resolve them?
How we resolve the problems of not have the actress is that we asked a close friend that has experience preforming and media that if she could fill in the spot and act in the music video, as this actress had experience of media understood the shooting script and were we wanted her and what we wanted her to do.
What are your plans for the following week?
What we plan to do in the following week is to complete a draft of the music video edit on final cut express, we have the end sections of the music video to do. what we will do is analysis what section that we have to re record or add to the edit. And would have to figure out what day that our actress and crew are available to film

| Director and actress in green park |
How did your resolve them?
How we resolved that memory cards of getting full is that one of the cast has an extra memory card in there bag as what we dis is swap over the memory cards. when the day was finished we placed some of the footage in to a hard drive that would work on a mac so we can take it into school and edit it. How we have yet to resolve the actress absences is that we will record in the following week when the actress is available.
What we did as this was not available is that we filmed at Marble arch as this was an locations that was easy to film at.
What are your plans for the following week?
What i planned for the following week is to edit the footage that we have on the Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and to catch up and have time on Monday to add the scene that we was unable to film as this is also a duty to film in the upcoming week at south end and Ben s house.

Weekly Production Log 2
What have you contributed this week?
This week we had completed 117 shots for our music video.we had also completed the production planning such as the location reccies, risk assessment, location permission, call sheets, job roles, wavers and schedule. As all of the planning was split up into 3 section for the group to do equally. What I did was the call sheets and the schedule. We also gave the lyrics to the actress that will be lip syncing in the music video as there have been told of how there should preform it.How does this fit in with the production schedule/job roles / overall idea of the project?
So far the scheduled is on point as everything is were its want to be .What i have as my job roles now is a production manager as I will be holding equipment and managing around and keeping it in track of the filming equipment. What I had to complete for the planning was the call sheet and schedule as this was done on a Thursday and Friday.

Locations Reccies
1) The first location we will be using will be Southend Beach, this location will be used during the introduction of the music video, and will run throughout the flashback and the final scenes. The relevance to the beach was that it would be a good sunset location to film the break-up, by using it through a happy flashback scene it adds further relevance as it was the spot of happier times. As well as leaving it till the very ending scene which again will connote the ending of the relationship and how the character will always be left alone. In terms of practicality it is a public area so no permission is needed for filming, it is a case of finding a quite segment of the beach and one with a good clear background.
2) The next location we will use in Southend will be the town, this will only be used for a couple of scenes and will feature during a flashback. The relevance was just to portray a happy memory of the 2 characters in their relationship.
Filming this scene in Southend town was more for logistical reasons, we would be able to film during the day and still stay within a reasonable proximity as we needed various other settings within the same location.
Once again it was a public place which meant no permission was needed, the only problems that could potentially occur is the weather and the amount of people in the town.
3) Southend Pier would be the final location within Southend, this again would be used as another happy memory for a flashback scene. We felt we could still film a good scene in this location whilst still staying within Southend.
In this sense making the decision to film on the Pier was more about logistics and that it was easier to use the whole of Southend as opposed to limiting ourselves to just one locations.
4) We had numerous locations around London, one of which being southbank. We are actually planning on filming 2 separate locations within Southbank, the first being a bench next to the Themes (as seen in the picture.) This was at the start of the first verse, and it was really to start the journey that the artist will go through over the whole night. The next location within Southbank was a bridge (in the picture.) The relevance to this location, was because it was only a needed to shoot a handful of shots and really adds this effect of the character looking out into her city and trying to see past her own little world that she has wrapped her self in.
5) London, Piccadilly circus was the next location for our second verse, we illustrate only a couple of shots, the relevance of this location, was the fact that it is a very busy location. With some editing we would be able to continue this sense of the character being all alone in the world, even thought there are many people around her she is immersed in her own failed relationship.
in retrospect the group feels that the location is a good idea, because our scene we plan to film there does carry much relevance to the story, and we didn't particularly feel that the audience will think its just a filler shot. We hope that the audience will understand what we tried to achieve by using this location.
6) london, Green park, (looking at the picture), we felt that this was a perfect spot to add in our performance element to our music video, it was a location that we instantly knew we can add a lot of camera movement too, and really make perhaps one of the most disinterested aspects more enjoyable.
We feel that some of our shots, using this location will be a bold move, as a park doesnt really fit in with any other locations, but we felt that it was very close to our others and it was a smart move in terms of practicality.
7) We then decided to also use Trafalgar Square, this was the plan to use for the final verse, as we really wanted to illustrate the characters raw emotions and pain to the audience, and we felt it was still an iconic location, but we could really film her to be in great distress.
Technically we felt that this location was a good idea, whilst being able to reveal where she was, and film such intense scenes, the location really enables us to do many different things, with this final verse.
Whilst we wanted the scene in this location to just feature the artist and no one else, we do understand that this location is very busy. So on the technicality side of things, this location will really test our camera language and our knowledge of how we can use certain angles to get the right shot an eliminate the public.
The house, isn't particularly far from any of the cast or crew so it was a good location to film and there won't be any problems filming. Whilst it may be the most simplest location of all, it is needed as it just adds continuity to the whole video, which i stop illustrate the fight scenes to the audience to show that there was some really hard, frustrating times for both characters.
In terms of practicality it is not that far away from the Southbank locations we will be using, so in terms of logistics we won't have to constantly travel by train to go to locations that are very far apart. instead all of ours are close together which makes it much easier to film.

8) Another location in London we decided to use was Buckingham palace, through the second verse, we decided to use this location to add our first peace of performance in to the video.
9) Bens house, this location would be used, for the flashback scenes, its primary function was to stage the fight scenes that happen between the 2 characters to show the struggles that they continuously had and the strain of the relationship.
10) St Pauls Cathedral, this location in london, was to be used to add another performance element to our music video, we felt that we had a lot of narrative in our original idea. As a group we came to the decision that we should be adding in more locations and more performance. We felt that this location (in the picture) on the stairs as the artists cries and shows her raw emotions, we can still edit and cut to certain shots where she can also be performing some of the verse.
In terms of practicality it is not that far away from the Southbank locations we will be using, so in terms of logistics we won't have to constantly travel by train to go to locations that are very far apart. instead all of ours are close together which makes it much easier to film. Permission to Film
Our entire music video is completely filmed in public places, and requires no permission for any filming. Here is a list of all the places we will be filming.
As listed we are planning to film in 10 different locations. As the idea basis itself on the themes of walking, being alone in the world, and in a depressive state, it felt that using iconic locations around london, was a good way to express, that whilst there are so many people around the character she is still alone in her own world. Which is the main reason for keeping all locations public.
- Southend Beach
- Southend Pier
- Southend town
- London Southbank
- London Southbank bridge
- London Piccadilly Circus
- London Trafalgar Square
- London Buckingham Palace (in the area)
- London Green Park
- Ben's house
From a logistical point of view, having all the locations in public areas means that we can turn up, point and shoot with no problems affecting our schedule.
Whilst perhaps some may perceive all of these locations as being to simple as they are all public, The very essence was to keep the video simple and solely focus on the persona, the video is a journey of her emotional state through one night. So it only made sense for her to be walking in public areas.
